Amanda Meckna

Amanda has always had gift for doing hair that was evident since she was young. Growing up, she was consistently the one who friends turned to when they wanted their hair styled or colored.

This gift quickly grew into a passion that led Amanda to The Capitol School of Hairstyling, where she graduated in 2012. While perfecting her craft, Amanda developed clear strengths in color formulation, product knowledge, and customer service. Her talent landed her a career at Russell's Salon in Countryside Village, where she grew into the professional stylist she is today. After five years at Russell's, she moved down the street to Bella Mia, which is now her happy salon home.

When she's not wrangling her puppies, Amanda spends her spare time researching the latest hair trends and is always up to try something new. She is certified in Keratin Complex Smoothing Treatments, and enjoys kids cuts, updos and specializes in balayage and hand-painted highlights.

Laura Myers

Master Stylist

Laura has been in the hair industry for over 25 years. Her career started with school in Seattle, Washington where she was trained by George Masters (stylist to Marilyn Monroe). After managing a salon in the Pacific Northwest she and her husband moved to Nebraska. Laura continued her career as a stylist and became a color educator for Loreal' Professional.

After years of traveling around the United States teaching at high-end salons, she has decided to move her color expertise behind the chair again. Laura prioritizes understanding her clients' lifestyles and ensures that their style reflects that understanding. She knows that some people like their look to say "little black dress", while others might want a "yoga pants-wash and go" kind of feel.

Giving back to her community is also an important focus. She loves to give haircuts to people in need. In her spare time she savors family time with her husband and three children. She is an active member in her church and likes to start her day with a jog. She has said of her career, "I feel blessed to make strong connections with my clients and I really feel that they are all part of my family. The fact that I get to make them feel beautiful is a bonus!"

Linda Marie Millwood

Master Stylist

Linda always knew she wanted to work in the beauty industry and chose to attend Nettleton Academy of Hair Design straight out of high school. She has now been practicing her craft for over 35 years. She has worked for national chain salons, managed top salons, and now focuses on color, cutting and styling.

Linda has two daughters (one is a member of the UNO dance team, and the other a stylist like her mother), is an avid animal person, and enjoys riding motorcycles, boating and spending time with family and friends. A lifetime fan of all things fashion and makeup, Linda has also made jewelry in the past, and now sells Silpada sterling silver jewelry.

Mary Z. Gagliolo

Master Stylist

Mary's interest in all things hair began at an early age, when she used makeup to paint her mother's Styrofoam wig heads with flesh coloring. She even styled the wigs and then used her father's desk phone to "schedule" more appointments. By high school, her career had accelerated, as she was often recruited to style her friends' hair during lunch and for Proms. To this day, Mary loves her work and feels as if she's still a young girl who is simply being paid to play!

Mary attended Omaha's own Capitol School of Hairstyling, where she received both cosmetology and esthetics certification and was fortunate to study under the school's owner, Lyle McCaig, an icon in the hairstyling industry. She then went on to enjoy the mentorship and friendship of Russell Winkelbauer, with whom she worked for 27 years. Today, they continue to work side-by-side at Bella Mia.

Mary is a board-certified cosmetologist and studied innovative cutting and coloring techniques at Redken Exchange in Manhattan. She also studied with Yosh Toya, a Japanese master of cutting hair, and has attended Hair World in Washington, DC; the International Beauty Show in New York City; the America Beauty Show in Chicago; and the Aveda Congress in both New York City and Minneapolis. Her work has even been seen in front of a national audience at the Academy Awards.

Mary loves everything about the artistry and individuality of hairstyling and can find herself immersed in a men's cut or completely absorbed in a round brush blow-dry. As a perfectionist who always enjoys a challenge, she recognizes that clients who are in a hurry, or who are satisfied with a mediocre cut, should look elsewhere. Even after 35 years in the industry, Mary enjoys taking her time to ensure high-quality work and to form a true, personal bond with each client she sees. It brings her joy to guide each Bella Mia visitor to looking and feeling their best.

Outside of work, Mary loves to be a homebody with her wonderful husband, Nunzio, her teenage son Alfio (who still lets Mary cut his hair!), and three dogs (who don't).
